The Start of Something New

Okay, I know what you're all thinking: "it's about time you got a blog, Corrie!" And I would have to agree. However, both the fact that I have had little access to internet the past few years and the fact that I am exceedingly daunted by maintaining a blog have prevented me from actually committing to a public diary. But, it's a new year, a new time, a new me, and I shall attempt to both increase communication and limit my words. No more fasting then feasting. But I have no intention of serving Hobbit meals: do not expect me to post every 20 minutes about my life! I should hope you  think better of me than to expect such senselessness! I would like to think of my posts instead as something like Lembas bread: one bite is enough to satisfy a man for a week! So, to the point & extremely tasty I shall be (my words, that is:) I should think you might also look forward to more of a variety of posts do to the increase in frequency: stories (real & fiction), maybe a song, perhaps a deep thought or two, prayer requests, and I hope to included some pictures as well. So, stay tuned.
Now, to the matter of business: a brief update. I am still in Chicago - waiting for my grandfather's house to sell (that is indeed a matter of prayer: #1 the house must sell, for we cannot afford to keep it much longer, but #2 when it sells, I shall be homeless!). In the meantime, in between selling off and organizing the remnants of the house, I am studying fervently for my Class B Washington D.C. tour guide license test next month (fyi, my first tour begins February 24). Other activities include singing in the worship group @ church, volunteering at my (Grandpa's) church's youth group, and spontaneously site-seeing with friends downtown. Yes, I know what you're thinking: "with all this time on your hands, why have you not written more?!" *cough* No comment. Okay, I just couldn't convince myself that anyone would care to read about my tedious past few months (with the exception of Christmas & my brief trip to Rice Lake). And I still cannot believe anyone in their right mind will have made it this far in the post...SO, I'll stop here!
Until next time!
